This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Bijoux Beirut collects when you visit or buy from www.bijouxbeirut.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and order details. Card and payment details are entered directly into our payment providers’ secure systems and are never stored on our servers.
When you browse the site we automatically receive standard technical information: your device and browser type, operating system, IP address, referring site, and the pages you view. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
When you contact us or subscribe we keep the email address, phone number and message content you provide.
Why we use it
- To process, pack, ship and track your order
- To send order confirmations, dispatch notices and delivery updates
- To handle returns, refunds, warranty claims and customer service requests
- To send marketing messages, when you have opted in
- To detect and prevent fraud
- To understand how our site is used, so we can improve it
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the store:
- Shopify — our e-commerce platform, which hosts the store and processes orders
- Payment providers — including our card processor, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Tabby and Tamara, who handle payment and fraud checks under their own privacy policies
- Delivery partners — who receive your name, address and phone number in order to deliver your order and send tracking updates
- Klaviyo — our email and SMS marketing platform
- Judge.me — our product review platform, which may email you after delivery to request a review
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google — advertising and analytics platforms that receive site activity data through their pixels and tags
- Analytics and site-improvement tools — which record aggregated usage and on-site behaviour to help us fix problems and improve the experience
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights.
Advertising and analytics
We use cookies and pixels from Meta and Google to measure the performance of our advertising and to show you relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising through your Meta and Google account settings, and through your browser or device privacy settings.
Marketing messages
If you opt in, we may email or message you about new pieces, offers and restocks. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email, by replying STOP to a marketing SMS, or by emailing us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages about an order you have placed.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, measure site performance and support advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the store may not work correctly if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as necessary to fulfil the order, honour warranty and return rights, and meet our accounting and legal obligations. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Security
Our store runs on Shopify, and all pages and checkout are served over encrypted connections. Payment data is handled by PCI-compliant payment providers and is not stored by us.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop using it for marketing. Email customercare@bijouxbeirut.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children
Our store is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
